Peace Giving Foundation was established in February 2009, to support disadvantaged and ‘hard to research’ communities, particularly those from black and minority ethnic communities in London, enabling them to lead a safer, healthier and better quality of life in the UK.
AIMS
We aim to change the lives of disadvantaged people throughout Pan London by:
- Bringing diverse communities together by creating the grounds for positive engagement between neighbours in and around community centres
- Connecting the individual back to a sense of community, which is built upon the family unit and local neighbourhood
- Nurturing social responsibility projects via Model Centres which are of benefit to all members of society.
We aim to do all this by providing education and training to disadvantaged communities, particularly BME communities, living in the most deprived areas of London.
OBJECTIVES:
Objective 1:
To provide Education & Training to disadvantaged communities, particularly BME communities, residing in the most deprived areas of London.
(a) To provide, Education, Training & Mentoring programmes/support to
disadvantaged communities, in order for them to have greater chances of becoming economically independent.
(b) To provide support packages focused around ‘skills development’ in order for individuals to progress in life and society more effectively.
(c) To provide ‘Soft Skills’ such as Confidence & Communication skills in order for individuals to integrate better in UK society and break down the feelings of social exclusion.
(d) To provide additional support for children in mainstream education i.e. homework/after school clubs, mentoring schemes.
Objective 2:
Tackle Racism and Extremism ideologies World Wide
(a) Improving the experiences of people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in relation to access to and outcomes from public services – education, employment, health, housing and the Criminal Justice System
(b) Bringing together communities from different races and faiths, and promoting a shared sense of belonging (community cohesion).
(c) Explaining the true teachings and understanding of Islam in order for people not to be misled by extreme ideologies.
(d) Explaining the true teachings and understanding of Islam in order to breakdown the ignorance that exists with some communities.
(e) Providing social skills that will allow individuals to integrate better in society and be able to recognise ‘extremist ideologies’ in order to reject them.
(f) Developing ideal role models in order to break down the negative ‘stigma’ attached to Islam in Today’s media and society in order to work towards better community cohesion
(g) Safeguarding all communities.
Objective 3:
To provide Recreational & Sports facilities or Projects for the communities of London, in particular to Children, Young People & Women with the objective of improving their physical and psychological health.
(a) To provide sports/fitness based projects in order for communities to lead healthier lifestyles and integrate with others in a ‘fun’ and more effective way.
(b) To provide recreational activities such as table tennis, pool, coffee mornings etc in order for communities to improve their psychological health and improve their quality of life.
Objective 4:
To alleviate suffering and distress through supporting people affected by ill health and promote Health & Safety issues to disadvantaged communities residing in the most deprived areas of London.
Objective 5:
To provide Enterprise & Innovations awareness, training & support to disadvantaged communities residing in the most deprived areas of London.
Objective 6:
To provide awareness, education and mentoring to children & young people around the ‘negative’ effects of being involved in Gangs, Gun & Knife crime in the most deprived areas of London.
The above structure allows successful development and delivery of the project. It provides effective administration and management control. It also enables strict monitoring of ‘quality’ of services/service delivery and evaluation/performance. It also predicts any associated ‘risks’, to the project, which will be regularly assessed to ensure that any problems are solved quickly.

Education
We aim to establish and support education and training projects that will equip men, women and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with essential skills, knowledge and confidence to lead a healthier and happier life.
Health
We aim to promote a healthy lifestyle by providing information and advice on the importance of nutrition and exercise. We also aim to deliver fitness clubs and sports teams via our community centres.
Environment
Preventing damage to the environment of is primary concern to us and we aim to promote the development of recycling programmes in addition to the promotion of renewable energy resources and education that is readily available to the public.
