The following are the projects that we are currently delivering:
BREAKING THROUGH
The ‘Breaking Through’ project is targeted to 100 socially excluded and ‘hard to reach’ women from ‘newly arrived’ communities residing in the most deprived areas in London, in particular Hackney & Waltham Forest. The project aims to provide ‘Soft Skills’ (social & Personal skills) in order for them to integrate better in society, gain confidence, become more independent & employable, communicate effectively and understand UK culture particularly workplace culture. These skills will ultimately enable them to develop active relationships with people resulting in better social integration, community cohesion and increased chances of becoming employed.
Project objectives
- To provide soft skills training and mentoring i.e. Confidence building, communication & personal skills.
- Signpost beneficiaries to agencies for personal development i.e. Learning Skills Council, Colleges.
- To inspire & motivate beneficiaries to develop on their own ‘Soft Skills’.
- To provide ‘Economic’ cultural awareness in order to help individuals integrate better in UK society i.e. Workplace culture. We believe that this feature will equip beneficiaries with the knowledge and skills to:
-
a. Integrate in UK society, in particular the workplace, more effectively.
b. Gain confidence and feel comfortable living & working in the UK.
Work will be delivered by an experiences mentor and through fun activities. The project is client led & client sensitive taking into account languages, cultural and religious issues. Handouts will be given to beneficiaries for information and reference purposes. Funding is required for revenue based costs, including: volunteers, professional fees for delivery and running costs.

The following are the projects that we are associated with:
MODEL CENTRES
The Model Centre project is one that has already been established in two cities in the UK, and we hope will continue to spread. This work has been facilitated through our associated organisation Green & Chambers Consulting for charities throughout the country. A ‘Model Centre’ is a facility within a community that is inclusive to the needs of all members of its society.
Project Brief
Model centres are centres that are designed to be all- inclusive community centres designed to be a destination of advice, information and recreation for the entire local community. Plans for all model centres include facilities for I.T. use, classes, a library, and a cafe where people of all ethnicities can come together and socialise. This will break down religious and racial barriers between communities and promote cohesion amongst different ethnic groups. Catering for the needs of neglected groups is central to the model centre creed. Our model centres such as the PIETY centre in Plymouth has already promoted outreach and community cohesion through social initiatives such as establishing a city- wide interfaith group and street cleaning projects. They have excellent relations with local government and police.
TRUE ISLAM
True Islam is a project that we have developed and will be delivering through our associated organisation Green & Chambers Consulting for a charity based in Birmingham.
Project Brief
True Islam is an innovative project targeted towards 720 children, young people and women residing in the programme’s targeted areas. The project combats the negative ideology of ‘violent extremism’ by explaining the ‘true’ meaning and teachings of Islam. It also equips beneficiaries with personal skills and traits that will help them integrate better in British society and break down the social exclusion barriers that are being faced. This will be achieved through workshops delivered by famous ‘role models’, namely Abdurraheem Green and Yusuf Chambers. The project will have a positive effect on British society as it will contribute towards creating community cohesion resulting in more vibrant communities. It will also give the opportunity for beneficiaries to explain the ‘true’ word of Islam to their own communities and others, hence achieving sustainability of the project. In fact, it will allow them to become positive ‘role models’ in society and help achieve the prevention of violent extremism and the negative stigma attached to Islam in today’s media.
We are now in the process of developing True Islam as a brand through Peace Giving Foundation in order to deliver this project or a development of it around the UK and world wide.
